BASF National Business Conference — Washington, DC
The Ritz-Carlton, Washington, DC · Offsite at the Smithsonian
Overview
Produced BASF's National Business Conference at The Ritz-Carlton in Washington, DC — a multi-day executive and leadership program combining a main plenary, fourteen breakout sessions, a community partnership with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Washington, and a museum gala offsite.
- Led the conference from concept through implementation, working across every department to develop the theme and carry it through content, graphics, and environment.
- Produced the general session and main plenary with full staging, audiovisual, and content support, including a keynote speaker and an evening hosted by senior leadership.
- Organized fourteen ancillary breakout sessions so teams could meet with their peers and work through business objectives for the coming year — each with its own production, audiovisual, and on-site setup.
- Managed full-day delegate rates covering breakfasts, lunches, evening receptions, and dinners across the program.
- Partnered with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Washington on a scavenger hunt with their students at the newly opened museum, giving back to the local community.
- Ran a student design competition ahead of the event; the winning drawing was printed on the T-shirts worn by every scavenger hunt participant as a surprise for the student who created it.
- Presented the winning student with a framed, signed version of their artwork from the BASF team, alongside a donation made to the Boys & Girls Clubs on BASF's behalf.
- Hosted the students for lunch at the hotel with the BASF team ahead of the scavenger hunt.
- Delivered an offsite gala dinner at the museum, including guest transportation both ways, a cocktail reception, a full three-course dinner, a team awards program, a live band, and entertainment.
- Oversaw all creative design, graphics, and content, including branded giveaways for the team.
- Built the full run of show and production schedule covering load-in, rehearsals, sessions, offsite movements, and load-out.
- Created and implemented a full risk-assessment plan for the event.
- Worked with stakeholders to align on event goals, objectives, and strategy from the outset.
- Led the event from concept through completion using in-depth project management.
